(back cover)                              (Front Cover)

Embers Of Revival is full of poetry written while attending the Lakeland Florida Outpouring. The Lord did such a marvelous work in my body and mind there and placed words inside my heart that I could not just keep in there. The Lord did move in Lakeland in spite of what men might have done. God moves in spite of us. Every service I went to with a heart of thanksgiving and every service I left with a notebook full of things He had placed in my heart. Brothers and sisters I urge you that no matter where you go to church that you would go with that attitude of praise unto God and then no matter what happens your focus will have been upon God and not on that of man. I pray that the words in this book encourage and charge your spirits. For even now as I read these words they become as Embers Of that Revival in my heart and soul. God bless you.

Pages from "Embers Of Revival"

 (Page 6)

Are the clouds there
That we may behold
What we have lost
During the drought
Of our lives here
Or are they as men of old
Have told us of
Are they not the promise
Of a former and latter rain
Shall we depart
From under them
These clouds in the sky
In search of a sunny spot
Or shall we wait and pray
Till that rain
We have longed for
All of our lives
Comes pouring down upon us

(Page 7)

Wave upon wave crashing
Ever so constantly on the shore
Our lives longing for change
Needing those waves to crash
To smash all we have built up
To bring our walls of Jericho down
Wave after wave come again
Break down all that I am
So that You
Can build me again
Nothing am I without You
Born again in the
Wake of destruction
Something new
A shining city on a hill
One for good
Instead of what I was
One free to be
What I was always
Meant to be
(Page 8)

We come empty and hungry
Needing that which
Shall fill us
We travel far and wide
To gather and wait upon
That which shall satisfy us
We come believing
That we shall
Never leave the same
The sky opens wide
And down from Heaven
Fall manna and rain
All our wants and needs met
And now for the first time
We are full and satisfied
(Page 9)

Despite the chains
We lift our hands in faith
With a shout of glory from within
Not afraid of any other thing
For in worship of the King
All freedom sings forth
As a trump
And though our words
Scream not forth
As a shout to that of war
The Spirit in us rushes forth
Destroying all the chains
That held us
Sickness flees, infirmity leaves
Death is shaken off
As God is lifted above
With the worship that comes
From our spirit to our heart
To the ears of our Lord above
(Page 10)

Life unto the bones dead
Lying in the ground
But not of Earth or rock
But in life everyday
Let the life come
To your dead bones
Take a step and walk
Let life return to you again
Take another step
Out of your tomb
Walk back to life again
From death unto life
From life unto life
Walk and be renewed once more
That by your life
Others may be touched
And walk from their tombs
Death unto life eternal
(Page 11)

Shout unto the heavens
With the heart of all repentance
Speak not with vain words
As to make an
Audience unto others
But from the heart
 Shout aloud unto the Lord
Make your heart
A trumpet unto God
Let your voice shout
Unto the heavens above
So that the glass ceiling of the sky
Cracks with the urgency
Of your praise
Reaching not the ears of God
But the heart of God
Being moved with those that
Show their love for Him
(Page 12)

Write My words of truth
Upon your hearts
That in time of upheaval
Your hearts may cry forth
That which is written upon them
The Lord He is true
The Lord He is faithful
The Lord has
Never been more faithful
Than He is to us at this moment
He is our God
Greatly to be praised
The Author and Finisher
And our great Deliverer
(Page 13)

Hungry and thirsty we came
With nothing to give
But our gratitude
But full and
Overflowing we leave
Our wagons full
And wheels buckling
You bless us to multiplication
We do bless
Your name oh God
Who gives unto us
With all generosity
We came destitute
And leave with enough to share
With those who could not
Make the long journey
We bless You great King
By giving that which
You have given unto us
Unto all that would receive
(Page 14)

Make our hearts new oh God
That we may not burst
With the greatness
Of Your presence
Make of us new wine skins
That we will not crack
And spill forth this blessing
That You have poured into us
Make of us perfect vessels
To carry Your presence
To the thirsty and hungry
Even to the ends of the Earth
(Page 15)

The angels dance with us
With the trump
And the tambourine
We shout together
And they are
Carrying our praises to God
 On their wings even now
(Page 16)

We bathe in the presence of God
Becoming healed, whole, and clean
The water of
His Spirit transforming us
We open our mouths
And springs flow forth
In an utterance of praise
We swim in the banks of His riches
So that none near us lack
We receive manna to give to all
All eat and are filled
We long never to leave
We beg to be sponges
To be saturated
And soaked in His Spirit
(Page 17)

Trees by the river Jordan are we
Our roots down deep to seek life
In the nourishment of the holy river
But what we want most of all
Is for it to rain down upon us
Rain upon us, cooling us
Filling our body
With the rain that cleanses us
And fills us with good fruits
So that all the nation’s
May be blessed by that abundance
That comes from the falling
Of the rain that purifies
And supplies all our needs

The Lighthouse........... poetry for the soul

(back cover)                                (Front Cover)

There is a guiding light that God shines down upon the pathways that we are taking. Whether we are at home, on the sea, or on the highway. No matter where we are He sends a light to guide us. He sends these lights, these beacons, through the preaching of the Bible. He illuminates the situations we are in, through something we read or hear. He shines a light at all times through His Word, which is always a light unto our paths. I pray that no matter where you are in life or your walk with God. That the following writings will be right on time in your life. I pray that God will lead and guide you even this day, no matter what the situation may be. Trust in Him and His abiding faithfulness.

Pages From "The Lighthouse"

(pages 10-11)

The Lighthouse

Black sky
Stormy night
My ship tossing
Throughout the night
No sign of land
No sign of light
But in the darkness of it all
A light broke through
And showed me the way
In the darkest hour
Of my souls night
Your love shined through
As a beam of light
And showed me the way
Through that night
Thank You Lord for
The lighthouse of Your love
That kept me from
The rocks of Despair
For without Your light
I would of surely crashed
On the rocks that night

Greatest Gift

Creating a brighter day for someone else
I think is one of the greatest gifts
We can give each day

(pages 12-13)

The True Key

A room full of doors
But only one key in your hand
An hour glass full of sand
Tipped on its end and emptying quickly
The countdown has begun
Only three minutes
To choose the right door
Not a moment more or a second less
You enter the key into the first lock
And turn it to the right
And it snaps off in the lock
You fall to your knees
And do not shed a tear
But pray a simple prayer
Father unlock the doors of Heaven for me
And after you’ve prayed
You stand and all the doors are opened
And you walk through each one
To receive your rewards
Simple though this story be
The truth is still the same
Prayer opens the doors
That God would have you to walk through
And shuts tight the doors
That He knows would bring you harm
For we know the truth
That prayer is the true key

Labor

Everything must be a labor of love
Or it is just labor

(pages 14-15)

The Last Train

There is a vast great plain
With giant rocky mountains
Towering out of the midst of it
A train silently travels through them
Only a few passengers aboard
Where are they headed to
How long will it take for them to get there
Why did they choose a train
And the list of questions goes on and on
Until the train is out of sight
And darkness floods over the landscape
Night falls in and you fall asleep
Only to awaken and see the train again
Stopped in front of you
With an open door
Compelled to get on board
You step on up and inside the train
The door shuts and
The train begins to move
Slowly but surely it brings you
Through the plain
And through the mountains
Into a field of white
The end of your journey
God welcomes you
And all your questions are answered
And for once in your life you feel whole
For life’s been a long journey
But now none of that matters anymore
For your journey has finally ended
And you are finally home

(pages 16-17)

Dirty Laundry

No fears, no tears
The blackness of ones heart
Does not mean that
There is no hope
Of it ever being clean
It just needs a little more
Hope, love, and patience given to it
Hope being the first cycle
Believing that it can be clean
Love washing away the buildup
Thus being the second cycle
And patience, knowing all things take time
And this being the longest time to wait
The spin cycle
The world spinning
Dizzying one into almost disbelief
The cycle comes to an end
They are wet and dizzy but clean
Then the warm arms of a loved one
Embraces them fully
And warms them from the cold recesses of
What sin resided in them
Before patience, love, and
Hopes power had there perfect work
Through the mighty power of God

Decisions

Things may be dim
When looking back on your life
But your future is bright
For you have decided it will be so

A Simple Kind Of Gospel

available at Createspace (click here to view)

available at Amazon.com (click here to view)

(back cover)                                 (Front Cover)

"A Simple Kind Of Gospel" is an easy to understand Gospel message through poetry and words. Something everyone can identify with. Some people make the Gospel message complicated. Accept Jesus as your Savior and then after that love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your mind. The next thing to do is the love and treat everyone as good as you love yourself. Two simple things Jesus tried to show us. People complicate the Bible, I hope this book shows the Gospel and Jesus' messages in plain ways that everyone can understand. God bless you all.

Pages from "A Simple Kind Of Gospel"
(pages 10-11)

True Riches

Coins dropping downward quickly
Falling onto the ground
Arms flailing wildly in haste
To grasp all that is falling
Fools gold is all the seeker finds
For plastic tokens are they
A symbol of a prize
Not yet claimed
It’s fools gold
For they are only
Rich inside their heads
For the cashing of those tokens
Soon leads to loss
For the same tokens
Are going to be played again
And to be lost
For the lust for more sets in
More and more fools gold
That’s what they long for
To hit it big
But most times they lose it all
But there is a gift not won
At the pull of a handle
And one that does not leave one
Feeling empty and broke
It is a gift
Not made of hands
Not worked for or gained
It is the gift of God
The gift of salvation
Free and for all
That would call upon the name
Of Jesus Christ our Lord

(page 12-13)

Vanities Pride

Ground lost when I lied
My castle fell with my deceit
A kingdom lost with my retreat
Shame is the only thing I gained
Not such a great prize
Better off being remembered
As he who gave no ground
Or the one who held the castle
And if after all that
I still lost my kingdom
At least I would still have my pride
In knowing I did all I could to stand
Instead of taking
The cowards way out
I should have reached up for help
I should have told the truth
I should of let the Lord of this land
Protect what was His
And not of let my vanity
Get in the way of asking for help
A lesson learned now
But at the expense
Of going from a prince to a pauper

(pages 14-15)

Real Heroes

Social identity of greatness
Because of filmed exploits
Hiding the actors true self
Stuntmen and green screens
Illusions all in all
That guy never really took the fall
Hero on the big screen
Or at least in the eyes of a few
But a coward under the table now
A hold up at this local diner
No stuntmen to take their place
No double to take their spot
No bravery is seen now
For this is real
And the real person
Is shown to all now
Everyday you stand on the stage of life
Your life is on film now
At this very moment
For our acts, words, and deeds
Are all recorded in Heaven
One day we will give an account
There are no re-shot scenes
We have one take
We have but moments
No stuntmen to take our place
So stand tall bravely
For what you believe
And don’t be like the actor
Who cowers and waits for a stand in
You have one take in this life
Walk bravely as our witnesses watch
Cheering us on from Heaven

(pages 16-17)

Life’s Song

Inside is a little bit more
Than I entered this life with
Bits and pieces we pick up in life
Making us more or
Less than we entered
Praying more I am
Then when I was conceived
Wisdom, faith, and guidance
Received when I was young
A great song I have already sung
With my life
And I believe I still
Have a verse or two
Left inside of me yet to sing
Echoes of the amplifiers
Still ringing in the air
Letting me know that
I’m still here
Sweat drips off me steadily
As the lights glow brightly
On this stage of life
Then the spotlight is turned down
I walk and take a final bow
The curtains close
And I pray I did my best
For I now stand before the Lord
I pray that He
Will be pleased with what
I have sung with my life

(pages 18-19)

Fading Star

The stars call your name
We remember you they say
You once shone bright with us
But fallen down you did go
Simple choice not to live so high
But your shine is so much less now
And dimming every day
They invite you to
Come back up to the sky
To grasp the light once again
That you were once filled with
But rejecting them once more
Your light fades to darkness
A star once and now no more
The universe mourns a fallen star
And the night sky
Twinkles a little less
With the loss of a fallen star
You ask yourself
What does this have
To do with me
And I say everything
For there is either living in light
Or living in darkness
Which do you do
No man can serve two masters
Either you’re a child of light
Or a child of darkness
So I ask you now
Will you shine in the sky with us
Or be left in
The dark for all time

(pages 20-21)

Frustrations Destruction

A tangled web of jumbled words
Intertwined in a disturbed outburst
Becomes the beginning
Of the conversation
That sends a shocked look
Of utter dismay
Upon the face of the person
That you’re talking to
The frustration of keeping
This all bottled up inside
Till the spring coil snapped
Ends up sending out alarming words
Better left inside
The words if thought out
And carefully spoken
That person may
Not have felt shame
But your explosion in front
Of their family and friends
Sets their anger in full motion
Destroying what was a friendship
And what could have been
A team that would
Have helped many people
But one bottled emotion
Became a volcano of destruction
Think on these things
Think before you speak
Lest you cause
A brimming volcano to peak
And blow its top

(pages 22-23)

Chained

Just one more link
In the chain
Or so I think
Nothing more and nothing less
Than one more link
No true reason to think otherwise
Until all the links
Connect together chaining me
To a past I would rather be free of
But my dismissal
Of problems I thought were too small
Now have gathered together
Forming a chain of habits
That keep me from moving forward
So I sit at the end of my chain
And look at what’s beyond
And yearn to be there
But to get there I would surely
Have to give something up
And every link I think important
And could not let go of those things
So I sit here looking
Towards where I want to go
But I am held because
Of the lies I tell myself
Such as, this is not that bad for me
I’ve done this all of my life
And I believe my own lies
And they keep me chained
But like a wild animal
I was never meant to be chained

But no captor holds me
But the one I call myself

Wasted Days

available at Createspace (click here to view)

available at Amazon.com (click here to view)

(back cover)                                (Front Cover)

We have all had days that our words and deeds were not the best. That we would have rather wiped that page clean out of our lives. That in the end of time we would rather God not remember that day. The following poems delve into some of those questions. I pray that after you read them. That you will think more about your actions each and every day. And my prayer for you is that after reading this book that you will have fewer "Wasted Days".

Pages from "Wasted Days"
(pages 10-11)

Choose Carefully

Afterthoughts of days long past
That had meaning to them
Some that bring a smile
And yet others bring
A frown to my heart
The ripping in two
Of the veil of youth
Innocence lost in the night
A beginning of something new
The expectation of which
Was short lived indeed
Now thoughts go to try
To recapture time
And bottle it in moments
But time past can only be a memory
Like a cannon ball
Once it’s been fired
It can not be pulled back
The damage has been done
And sometimes you pay forever
For a moment once thought wonderful
But now with time feels
Like a verdict passed down
Something you will be known for
For the rest of your life
So choose well your moments
For one of them
You may be infamous for
For the rest of your life

(pages 12-13)

Stop Running

Who are you running from
Or perhaps I should ask
What are you running to
Perchance are you
Running from a past
You want to
Put distance from
Afraid that it will
Catch up to you
When you stop running
Or are you seeing a future
Far far ahead
That you feel the urge
To sprint towards
Either way it’s time
Time to stop running
There is peace here
If you want to hold onto it
There is a future here
If your willing to have it
Just stop running
Before time runs out on you

(pages 14-15)

Son Shine

The sun shines on
Despite clouds or rain
The sun shines on
In the night
When darkness and stars
Blanket the sky above
The sun shines even then
And in the cloudiest day
In the recesses
Of your mind
On the darkest nights
When you feel all alone
Remember this my friend
That the Son
Shines on for you
Look up this night
And see the light
That only He
Can bring to you

(pages 16-17)

Dizzy

Everything around me is
Spinning round and round
I fall to the ground
Where I am
I do not know
I feel refreshed
As the wind blows
Where it came from
No man can tell
How do I stop
The world from spinning
How do I make
The dizziness go away
I know not the answers
To the questions I have
If I did
I would not be here
Sitting on the ground
Looking for answers
That I pray
Will not be too late
To stop the world
From spinning so fast
All around me
(pages 18-19)

Seeds Of Faith

Focusing on other tasks
Not so much on former failures
That try to de-illuminate the
Current hopes that I see ahead
Successes I see them all as
Even if they
Have yet to be fruitful
Desiring the effect of belief
To be the miracle grow
On that which I do plant now
A mighty tree filled with fruit
Bringing life to all that
Would come under it’s branches
A plan just in seeds now
But through faith I see
The beginning of a fruitful
And bountiful future
(pages 20)

Shackles

We are not prisoners
Of our lives
We are prisoners
Of our minds
That shackle us
To our failures
And only we
Hold the key
To being free
From that prison
By stepping forth
And trying once again

Illumination Of The Heart

available at Createspace (click here to view)

available at Amazon.com (click here to view)

There is a transformation God does in our lives by the illumination of things we might not have seen in our hearts, unless He had shown us. I pray that the poetry in this book will help Illuminate your heart and mind. These are poems I believe that were placed in my own heart, not only to challenge me but you as well. As you read the following words I pray God's Spirit will touch, lead, and guide you.

Pages from "Illumination Of The Heart"
(page 8)

Sea Covered Mountains

You may not be able
To cast the mountains into the sea
But you may be able
To cover your mountains
With the sea of your faith
Let your faith be as a sea
Continually hitting the shores
Continually working inwardly
Continually working until you
Reach your home, your goal
Though you may retreat
Though you may feel weak
Remember it is only low tide
You will be back in a few hours
Renewed by new pull
Renewed by new wind
High and low tides
Billowing and cascading
Our faith as a sea
Shall cover these mountains
And though your mountains
Or your troubles aren’t gone
Your faith in God will take you over them

(page 9)

Raindrops

It’s gone, all blown up in my face
It’s soaking through everything
It stains me deep within my soul
I’m never getting up again
There’s nothing to live for
It’s all gone now
How will I ever be whole again
That was all I had left
I stand here shaking and
Crying to the heavens for the reason why
But I hear nothing back
But raindrops falling on my head
Cooling me down
Not the answer I was looking for
But the rain cools my jets just a bit
So I sit and ponder
Whether I truly needed those things that much
Sitting and pondering with
Rain drops falling on my head

(pages 10-11)

The Yearning

Forgiving the past
And pressing towards the future
Forgetting myself
Praying for less of me
And more of God in me
Reaching for forgiveness
Begging for redemption
Longing to be one again
Needing to feel His presence
In my heart and soul
Knowing that without it
I can never be whole
Help my mind
Bind the wounds of my soul
Let my hands touch others
And make them whole
Take my anxieties
Take my fears
Let my ears be Your ears
Forgive me Lord
For my wandering years
Help me to walk
Towards my future
Help me not to sabotage it
Walk with me and I know
You will see me through it all
From now and into eternity

(page 11)

Look Up To The Sky

If I gave you the time
Would you look up to the sky
If I gave you the world
Would you look up to the sky
If I gave you My life
Would you look up to the sky
If I died for you
Would you look up to the sky
I will, I have, I did, and I’m still waiting
For you to look up to the sky

(pages 12-13)

True Image

Pushed and pulled up and down
Clanking metal and the taste of tears
Groaning and struggling to grow
Pain before newness builds
Newly acquired knowledge of what to do
To become the person you long to be
The mirror lies and shows you
That there is nothing but the now
But faith shows us there is something more
Something that sweat and hard work
Sacrifice and self control, bring you closer to
A brand new you, through the fire
Made pure by the brilliance of your quest
Never ending the journey to a new you
Pushed to the limit of who you weren’t
Now moving towards someone
Who looks more familiar
Then to see the stranger
In the image on the wall
You’re wanting to know this person
You’re drawn to them to be with them
Then looking more deeply and knowing
That this person is you
You step back in amazement
How did I get here you say
Then you remember your hard work
Knowing it has brought you
To this newness of self, body, and soul
You have finally found the true you

(page 13)

Daylight

Light is what I yearn to see
Light is what I long to be
Reach out to me light
So that I will not be alone in the night
I want to feel Your warmth
I long to see the path again
So I reach out to the light
And beg to see daylight again

(pages 14-15)

Walk Towards The Son

Why does your heart sink so low
Why are your eyes filled with tears
Why does your smile fail to show
There is still hope
There is still life
There is still love

Reaching out with my hand to yours
Take my hand and reach for hope
Let’s walk together towards the Father

Why don’t your wounds heal
Why doesn’t your sorrow change
Why are you so sad inside
There is still life
There is still a promise
There is still tomorrow

Reaching out my hand to yours
Take my hand and reach for hope
Let’s walk together towards the Father

Walk towards Him
Your fears will melt away
Walk towards Him
Your sorrows will disappear
Walk towards Him
Your hope will be renewed
He is our hope
He is our life
He is our love
He is life
He gives to us a better life
Today and tomorrow

(pages 16-17)

The Shepherd

I see you
The real you
Never hidden from Me
No disguise hides
What the true you
Emanates from within
I see you
Scared no one cares
To find out what’s inside
Scared when they see
That they will leave you
Like he did
When you were
But a child
Never leave I say
Reaching out My hand
I beg you to come
And walk from
All that would
Keep you in this place
The past will kill you
If you let it
The past will smother you
And all I want
Is to lead you
From this burning building
We shall call your past
And walk with Me
To a more sure future
Where the things
That went bump in the night
Scurry away now
Because in you
Is so much light

(pages 18-19)

Chains Of The Past

Every time I go to step forward
The chains of the past pull me back
So I step back and try to run forward
Only to be yanked back
Was my disgrace my fall from their grace
Was it something I did when I was a child
All those times I was told
I was unworthy of being blessed
All of those that expected so much
And the turning of those backs
When I lost touch
Lost and going nowhere forward soon
Calamity and utter insanity
Chained to the failures of the past
Screaming to be set free
Begging to be released from my bonds
I want so much to be free
To go forward, to accomplish, to succeed
Cutting all ties to the past
May be the only key
To finding the strength to pull free
To finally reach that place
Where I will be truly happy
So I step back once, then twice
And run forward in reckless abandon
And I hear the chain’s snap
Falling forward free, but frozen
Too scared to move
Scared of the path now possible for me to tread

(page 19)

In the Clouds

In the clouds
I await your answer
In the clouds
I wait for you
The trumpets sounded
Will you come too
Or will you be held there
By the things you hold on to

(page 20)

Vengeance

Was I too late
Do my words make no impact now
It is not too late to end this
You can still stop and step back now
It’s not a crime yet
You’ve yet to commit a wrong
Leave while you’re still a free man
Walk away from the thing that you would do
Only one turn will make your life the better
Turn around and do not take revenge
Your heart says vengeance
A life for a life
Blood for blood
An eye for an eye
Turn around my brother
And let it die
Lay down your vengeance
Before you too become a victim of it

(page 21)

Looking For A Better Day

Looking past my last few years
To what really matters most
Looking past all my fears
To know Who’s always been there
Looking forward to seeing me again
Reunion of both spirit and soul
Looking forward to being whole
Many things are going to change
My whole life rearranged
Transformed by new hope
Springing forth in my heart
For a new day is coming
A day of reckoning, a new beginning
Not forsaking those I love
But looking more above
Such a burden to carry
But more hope I have
In looking for a better day
To carry me away

In these trying times that we live in, there seems to be a sense of misdirection. A feeling of uneasiness is upon the Earth. I am not saying this book will ease all of that. What I am saying is that this book will show you a pathway towards better days. It will show you that someone does care about where you are and where you're going. You are not alone my friend, God is there for you. The following poems are about Gods love for us, His direction that He has for our life, and how we should treat one another to be true beacons of His light and words. Most of all, I pray that this book is "A Beacon Of Hope" for you no matter where you are in your faith or walk with God.

Pages from "A Beacon Of Hope"
(page 18 )

Second Chance

You can not go back
To even yesterday
And change what
You have done
But you can
Ask forgiveness of the person
You have done those things to
And try to make things right
For if you do not try
God will not hear your prayers
Or even answer them

(page 19 )

Belief

Faith is rewarded
Only by continuing
To believe in that One
That you are believing in
To do what you
Have faith in Him
To do for you

(pages 20-21 )
Prayer

I continue to trust
In this One
That we call Lord
Because He has
Never broken His word
Or promises to me
And I find peace in that
For He that forgave me
Also hears my prayers
And answers them
When I talk to Him
About my day
I thank Him
For His many blessings
I trust in Him
To supply all that I need
His kingdom come
His will be done
On the Earth
And in my heart this day
Amen

(page 22 )
Wait

Don’t destroy God’s plan
Of blessing you
By putting a time limit
On when He
Should bless you

(page 23 )
Guided

You are able O’ Lord
I put my trust in You
And worry not
What tomorrow may bring
But believe in faith
That You have already
Gone ahead into tomorrow
And prepared the path
Which I will walk on in joy
Instead of in dread
Because I know
That You are guiding me

(pages 24-25 )

Teacher

Lord teach me Your ways
That I may not
Breathe in the ignorance
That others bathe in knowingly
Show me the way
You want me to live
So that I may not
Hunger for direction any longer
Feed me with Your words
That are in the Bible
Direct my understanding
So that my days
May be long on the Earth
And my body and soul
Shall both be filled
By applying Your word
To my heart
And my way of life

Worship has and always will have a special place in the service of God. He desires that we worship Him not only with our words and song but with our actions. The following are words of worship that came to me while I was sitting and worshiping God at home. You don't have to be in a church service or a special event to worship God. He is everywhere and in everyplace. I pray that as you read the following words that your heart will begin to worship our Heavenly Father. I pray that the times that you read this book will be "Moments In Praise And Worship".

(page 18)

Know Me

O’ Lord God
Know my heart
O’ Lord God
Know that it
 Is truly Yours
O’ Lord God
Search me
New each day
O’ Lord God
Make me new each day
O’ Lord God
Search me
And know me
And make me
More like You

(page 20)

Seeing The Light

Your presence shines
So brightly
Your face is
All I see
You lit up
The night sky
Of my life
You caused all darkness To fade away
And in this moment
I bask in the warmth
Of Your radiant love
And feel the peace
That I have
Always searched for
But only found this day
On my knees
Before You in
Remorse and repentance

(page 22)

The Mountain Message

We climbed the mountain
To listen to a Man
Who talked of peace
And treating others
Like we would
Want to be treated
He asked for nothing
But told us
To be peacemakers
And taught us to be meek
And when that Man
Climbed off that mountain
We lived the lives
That He taught us to live
And it changed our lives
Then our street
And finally our community

(page 24)

Fed

We hungered for wisdom
And He spoke
And we were filled
Our hearts were
Thirsty for peace
And He spoke
Peace be still
And the troubled waters
Of the sea of our minds
Became quiet and calm
Our bodies tired
From a day
Of so much teaching
And having nothing
Left to eat
He gave us bread
That He had multiplied
And we left there
That day changed
For this Man
Not only taught us
And gave us peace
But He also
Fed our bodies
Which are now
Strong enough
To take this
Same precious message
Back to all
We know and see

(page 27)

No Tears

Do not weep for me
For though I am gone
I am at peace
Do not cry
Know that I finally
Know what it’s like
To be truly whole
I am no longer in pain
And I’m finally with
The One who always
In my heart did reign

Flowers In The Desert

Everyone of us go through times in our lives that we feel like we are in a Desert.
Hope and dreams seem more like mirages than reality. I wrote these poems
during a time like that, but after reading them I felt as if they were an oasis in
my time of trouble. So I share them with you now my friend. I hope that if they
are not an oasis to you that they will at least be "Flowers In The Desert" of your life.
Showing you that there is hope, even if you are in the desert of your life

Pages from "Flowers In The Desert"

Live Each Day Fully

Deliverance in a single thought
Ending the disharmony
That was in my thoughts
Pondering the meaning of it all
Touching the veil of tomorrow
Hoping it brings
The light of happiness
Into the jaws of despair
No return from
 The endless tomorrows
Treacherous innuendo
Horrific tragedy of the loss of sanity
Ever have a day like that
Wish it was over
And that not another
 Like it would follow
You’re not here by chance
You have fate guiding you
Oh not so nicely
Undermining your every step
But ponder this
We have no tomorrows only today’s
So make up your mind
Hold on to today
Live for it
End thinking about tomorrow
Deliver yourself this way

(page 12-13)

He Believes In You

Passing out under
The weight of it all
Gasping for air
When I awake
The burden of it all
Is too much to bear
Take it from me
I cry to the heavens
I’m not ready for this
A reply comes back
You are, you can
You will, you are able
I will see you
At the finish line
I believe in you
And would have never
Given this to you
If I thought
I could not
Trust you to do it

(page 14-15)

Sunny Side Up

The struggle in and out
Of sanities grasp
Is sometimes and often
Unseen by others
The ones you do not want
To see it, see it
And the people
Who have no need knowing
Have on occasion viewed it
But the one person
Who you want to see
And need the help from
Their gaze is always
On the bright side
Of who you are
So much so that you
End up putting on a front
Thinking that’s the only side
Of you that they love

(page 15)

Wrecked Thoughts

Like a twisted train wreck
My thoughts lay scattered about
As far as what to say
About this event

(page 16)

The Shadows

You hide in the shadows
Because you say
It hides who you are
The scars, the mangled hair
The look of anger upon your once
Pure face of serenity
You say you
Hide in the shadows
Because it comforts you
But I say you don’t hide
In the shadows
But you stay in the shadows
Because the shadows
Won’t let go of you

(page 17)

Love Is Blind

Clear as day to me
But pitch black to you
The flaws I see in myself
The same ones
You refuse to see
You say the good things
That you see in me
Outshine the little flaws
And I begin to see you
In a different light as well
As I became blinded
By the person
You are to me

(page 18)

Moving On

Is life given or taken
Or do we always live
Just in a different shell
No more funerals then
Just catered moving parties
We will miss having you
As a neighbor here
But we know that
No matter where you go
That they’ll be lucky
To have you too

Moments In Silence........Quiet Thoughts For Those Quiet Moments

The Poetry in "Moments In Silence" was written during a time in my life
that I just needed to get away from it all, if for just a moment or two. I
would write just before going to work. The time I knew that I would have
a moment where nothing else distracted me. We all have moments where
a moment of silence is the most peaceful and reflective time of the day.
The time that we put things into perspective. I hope that in some of your
moments of silence you will be able to read the words written in this book
and be able to reflect and see things more clearly for the journey about
to begin or just ending in your life.

New Life
New life is why
Old things pass away
The old things we do not forget
The old ways or friends
That have passed
We still miss them
They are still with us
But new life brings new happiness
Hope and newness to our life
Reach out for new life
Take the hand of the One
Who brings new life
The winds of change
Our lives rearrange
But the hand of new life
Brings a calm
To even the fiercest of storms
Life has never promised
Kindness or joy always
Life only promises to go on
Tick tock tick tock
Life will go on with or without you
Take this chance to choose
How you will live
This life, your choice, choose well
Reach out for new life
Take the hand of the One
Who brings new life
The winds of change
Our lives rearrange
But the hand of new life
Brings a calm
To even the fiercest of storms
And peace to ones soul

(page 16)

We’re Rock Stars

Living on, living on
The beat goes on
The show is on
The spot lights on you
Stage fright and weak knees
Dizzy spells and the feeling of being drained
Living life ain’t no joke
Tis hard to stand upon the stage
And not wave to and fro
But you only have one chance at it
Lights on, lights off
Clap on, clap off
The curtain drops down slowly
And the stage lights dim for you
No encore for anyone
No matter how much the audience cheers
Live life fully while you still have life
Before the stage lights dim
And your concert is closed down forever

(page 17)

Red

Red, I saw it before the change
Red, I saw it after that
It was all a haze
Red, I felt it course
Through my every vein
Red, I saw it stream
Down my arms and hands
Red, I saw it mixed
With blue and white lights
Read he did, I heard it
As the judge he passed his verdict
Red, my cheeks became
And it all could have been changed
If Red I had not seen that day

(page 18-19)

Precious Memories

Crying out for a savior
Crying for some solace
Crying tears of absolute pain
Despair of losing one so close
The pain so bad you feel torn
Like a sail with too much wind
Ripped and flailing in the wind
Without any direction
Heading for the rocks
Then an anchor drops
And steadies your ship
An anchor of a memory
The memory of when you were young
When the two of you flew kites
And then the wind ceases
Then remembering the long walks
And hands held along the way
So you sit on the beach
With the sand beneath your toes
 Watching the sun set
Your heart still misses them
But is comforted a bit more
Because of the good memories
Of one who meant so much to you

(page 19)

Pathways

Who am I to compare
The light of my pain with yours
As to make a comparison
Who am I to say my saga
Is any more heart wrenching than yours
Our paths did not cross
For you to hear but for me to listen
To you and count my blessings many
For though we all have a tale to tell
Sometimes just maybe
It is time for us to listen
And carry the burden
That another would share
With us this night

(page 20)

Raindrops

It’s gone, all blown up in my face
It’s soaking through everything
It stains me deep within my soul
I’m never getting up again
There’s nothing to live for
It’s gone, how will I
Ever be whole again
That was all I had left
Crying to the heavens
For the reason why
Hearing nothing back
But raindrops falling on my head
Cooling of my head
Not the answer I was looking for
But the rain cools my jets just a bit
So I sit and ponder whether
I truly needed those things that much
Sitting and pondering this
With rain drops falling on my head

(page 21)

Times Assassination

Killing time one second at a time
Guilty of murder
But never arrested
For everyone has killed moments
And they pay
By dying a little inside
Every time they do
(page 22)

Remembrance

Candlelight vigil
The memories of lost loved ones
Still fresh in our memories
The devastation is still
To fresh to process
Shutting down from overload
Why did he do it
What was the reason
Son’s and daughter’s
Taken out of season
No reason
Only insanity
We mourn the loss
Of each of thee

(page 23)

Running In Circles

I feel that I am
Well beyond the point
Of avoiding points anymore
If it’s written
In stone than it is
Avoiding them only turns me
Onto roads that lead me back here
To face the same choices
All over again
Left or right
Wrong or right
Sudden retreat from decisions
They make me faint of heart
Not that I am
Afraid to make them
But hoping I don’t
Make the same choices
That led me back to here

Words From The Heart

The poems written in this book were written during moments of praise, prayer, and worship. I would be listening to praise and worship music and these words came to me. I felt compelled to put them to paper. Some of the poems are prayer like, others have the heart of praise. A few have stern words of direction that God was speaking to me to write. I pray the Lord bless you while reading this book. My prayer is that the following "Words From The Heart" will bring you closer to our Heavenly Father.

pages from "Words From The Heart"
(page 5)
Let Your words swell
From deep within me
Let them overwhelm me
For I am full
Of what I do not
Want to be filled with
Let me be endowed
With all goodness
Drench me in Your love
So that all of my being
May be purged
Of what I am
To be the image of You

(page 6-7)

Take me higher O' God
Let me see the end
Take me from where I am
To where You want me to be
Lord You see me now
And You have seen my start
Lord renew in me
A brand new heart
Take me higher O' God
Let me see the end
Take me from where I am
To where You want me to be
Lord You’ve brought me
 Through every perilous night
You gave me strength
To stand firm
My desire is to be with You
I love You
Take me higher O' God
Let me see the end
Take me from where I am
To where You want me to be

(page 7)

My desire is to be with You
To leave this earthen vessel
To escape my mortal bonds
So that my soul may ascend
To be with You O' Lord
Hasten my days O' Lord
So that I may be with You
For I love You so

(page 8)

Lord I follow You
But my mind drifts
Lord I follow You
But my heart it strays
Lord grant me the strength
To follow with a true heart
For truly I love You
O' Lord steady me
Lord I am weak
Strength drains from me
I fall to my knees
O' Lord steady me
Lord grant me the strength
To follow You with a true heart
For truly I love You
O' Lord steady me

(page 9)

I want to know You
Let me know more of You
Show Yourself in Your word
And speak to my spirit softly
Guide me O' Father
Make me more like You
Break me and remake me
In Your image O' Father
Words cannot express
My deep gratitude
For all You do for me
Continue to move O' Father
Let me trust You more
Guide me O' Father
Make me more like You
Break me and remake me
In to Your image O' Father
(page 10)

Lord come on down
Let Your power
Rest upon my spirit
Let Your glory
Be fire upon my tongue
Purifying my words
Let Your fire
Be upon my mind
That it may be
Purified and cleansed
Fill me with Your spirit
And set me ablaze
So that I may burn
And set the whole world aflame
So that all may see Your light
By it shining through me

(page 11)

Lord I marvel
At all You do
You heal us
You provide for us
You lift us up
And yet still
Find the time
To wake up the sun
And put the moon to bed
And move the oceans
To and fro across the Earth
Lord thank You
That in Your very
Very, very, very busy day
That You take time out
To think of me

(page 12)

The well of my love
Grows deeper each day
As I learn of how much
He has loved me
For when I was unlovable
He still loved me
When there was nothing redeemable
About my life at all
He saw me in love
And love shows hope
And the hope He had in me
Pulled me towards
The shore of change
Till upon that beach I lay
And He picked me up
And saved me
And brought me back to life
And He made me to know love
By being love to me
And now this love I show to thee

Let The Wind Blow

available at Createspace (click here to view)

available at Amazon.com  (click here to view)

Life is full of ups and downs but it is fuller and more satisfying as long as we keep God in the forefront of our lives, by praising Him, praying, and living for Him. The following book is full of poems that talk about rough times and about praise to God. If you forget to praise God even during the rough times that feel as if a tornado is blowing through, than you are missing out on God showing up in the midst of that trouble. Many of the Psalms were written during David's roughest times in life, but most every Psalm talks about it being rough but God showed up and David praised Him despite what was going on. And it is said that David was a man after God's own heart. I think it was because David found the secret to a full life in God, that is he realized that no matter how rough things got as long as God showed up everything was gong to be okay. David understood that sending praise to God is like sending a flare up to Heaven letting God know where we are but no matter where we are that we love Him and are still confident in His care for us. Life may feel like a whirlwind, tornado, and hurricane at times. You may feel like the wind of life is going to topple you down, but take hope my friend and stand with me and declare, "Let The Wind Blow" for I am standing firm in God and in His promises and though everything may be blown away, I will still praise Him. I pray that as you read the following poems that you will be charged and encouraged my friend.

pages from "Let The Wind Blow"
(page 11)

The Yearning

We come with an expectation
Of the things to come
God is present
Even though the music
Has not even begun
A yearning and hunger
Is in the air
Drawing the Spirit of God
To this place
Where they have gathered
To worship Him

(page 12)

The Outpouring

We come empty handed
But with our hearts
Full of praise
We have our hope in Him
Who is the answer
To that which we seek
We come repentant
We bow before Him
And He answers
With the outpouring
Of His love upon us

(page 13)

Sponges

Sponges are we
In the presence
Of our Mighty King
Come to soak
In His life giving flow
Our tongues declare
The glory of God in our lives
And how He brought us through
We soak up so much
That when we weep
In our prayers for others
That our very sweat
Is even that
Which we have soaked in
For we have been
In the mighty presence
 Of  Almighty God
(page 14-15)

Puzzle

The pieces were mixed up
Jumbled in a box
The picture on the cover
Long having been worn away
The pieces scattered on a table
The table representing the world
We walk our lives
In search of those missing pieces
That would form who we think
We should have been in life
And when we find
All the pieces at last
We look down at them
And a voice whispers
You were always whole
Nothing added or taken away
Could make you any more or less
Than the image that you are
You are not
What you bring into your life
You are what you give
To the world around you
Despite what has been given to you
Or been taken away

(page 15)

Love Is An Action

Don’t be one of those people
Who say the words
I love you
And then use that as an excuse
To stop showing it
For you believe the words
To be more powerful
Than the action
(page 16)

Eternal Praise

Our voices cry out
Holy is our Lord
Our hearts cry forth
Holy is our Lord
Our bodies yearn
To praise all night long
Lord energize us
Lord fill us
Lord revive us
So that we
May worship You
From now unto Eternity

(page 17)

Apology

You can not drive
A bus totally blindfolded
You should not pull
On an elephants trunk
You can not walk
For long on quicksand
You can not stare at the sun for long
You can not build
A house upon it either
But you can
Cool the anger of your brother
With a heartfelt apology and an offer
To make things right again
No matter what the cost
That’s one thing
That you can certainly do
(page 18-19)

Priceless Treasures

Life’s pleasures and treasures
Can be found most ordinarily
With an open eye
And an open mind
The patience to watch
And taking the time to view
Nature dancing before us
The breaking of the waves
Against the shore
The first falling snow
The crisp colors of Fall
Painting each tree like Picasso
A waterfall cascading down
The clouds changing form overhead
A sunrise or a sunset
The sky on a clear night
The stars sparkling their brightest
The full moon
And a robins nest
With newly hatched young
All these and more
Await right outside your door
And all free of charge
Just waiting for you
To stop, look, and listen
To the pleasures and treasures
Of life that is all around us

(page 19)

God has a purpose
In you being here on Earth

A Mirror To The Soul

The following poems are just thoughts put to paper. Some are how I feel, some are just the words that came to me at the moment I was writing. Most poetry is a mirror to the reader and to the soul. I pray after you look into the mirror of these pages that your soul and mind will be challenged to be the best you that you can be, for yourself and everyone that you come in contact with.

pages from "A Mirror To The Soul"
(page  8-9)

A Day Of Remembrance

A momentary pause in time
Everything at the core stops
And takes remembrance of the past
So much history
And so many lives in it
A show of respect to those
Who gave us liberty
And a salute to those
Who now defend it
A yellow ribbon tied around a tree
To remember them so far away
From you and me
A child looking to his mother
Asking why daddy
Does not come home
A mothers heart unable
To find the words to tell him
That daddy is
Never coming home again
A mothers arms
Wrapped tightly around
A son who does return
But not the boy he left as
The sound of the bugle
 The dimming of the sun
As another day closes
Let us pray for our soldiers
Their families and loved ones
And pray for strength to make it
Till the next setting of the sun

(page 10-11)

Silent  Words

Deep regrets for words yet unsaid
For even to of thought
Of them in my mind
I feel as if in my mind I already offend
Words not spoken, but thought of
Words of damnation and utter hatred
That would cause many shame
All thought of by many
But that ought not give me cause
To spill forth those words
A license to censure myself
Ought I buy a muzzle
To quench my mouth from harm
So I walk from my home
And walk by those accused
Damned already by the
Meeting in my head
I go into my mind once more
And shoot the messenger
That would deliver tidings of pain
And come to myself once more
Delivered of the affliction
To shoot myself off at the mouth
The ones I would of spoken to
Might have done the same
At the shame of my speech
Might have brought end to my light
So I see another sunset
For thankfulness of
The shutting of my mouth

(page 11)

Unrequited Favors

Kindness can bring pain
If its only intention
Is to remind the receiver
Of past things given
And never the favor returned

(page 12)

The Question

A young man once asked me
What is love that I may know it
Is it round or tall
Is it red or blue
Does it come in a package
Is it able to be bought
Can you run with it
Can it be learnt
How big or small is it
Will it know me
Or will I know it when we meet
Is it bright or dim
And I responded to him
You will know love when you find it
But you will never find it outside
Until you find it within

(page 13)

The Slip

Avoiding the sight of me
Lest you say the wrong words
Wound up inside of you
Fear grips your heart
What if you’ve already told me
What’s inside of it
Have you betrayed yourself
With those eyes not so pure now
So you hide from me
Even your gaze for fear
Fear that I know
But hide your face no more
Your avoidance has told me more
Than our occasional paths crossing
You have, you will, and you plan
To continue in your ways
But I still forgive you

(page 14-15)

True Image

Pushed and pulled, up and down
Clanking metal and the taste of tears
A groaning and a struggle to grow
Pain before newness builds
Newly acquired knowledge
Of what to do
To become the person you long to be
The mirror lies and shows you
That there is nothing but the now
But faith shows there is something
Something that sweat and hard work
Sacrifice and self control
 Bring you closer to
A brand new you, through the fire
Made pure by
The brilliance of your quest
Never ending the journey
 To a new you
Pushed to the limit
Of who you weren’t
Now moving towards looking like
Someone who looks more familiar
Then to see the stranger in the image
Wanting to know this person
Drawn to them to be with them
Then looking deeply
Into the mirror and knowing
That this person is you
You step back in amazement
How did I get here you say
Then you remember your hard work
And your thankful it has brought you
To this newness of self, body and soul
You have found the true you

(page 16)

Drought

My painful muse is life
But life has left my muse
Covering her with moss
The roots of my once
Abundance of thoughts
Has now withered up and died
The sun does make
Me prime for kindling
But a storm cloud
Passing by gives me hope
Oh let it rain on me
So that I may know again
The gentle stream
That once flowed by me
The stream I called inspiration
A drop falls on my branches
Cooling me a bit
Giving me hope for more to come

(page 17)

Colors

Green with thoughts of tomorrow
Black with the thoughts of yesterday
White with the news that you’re gone
Blue to know, I’ll never see you again
Pale then black, thinking of what more
I could of done for you
Green, black, white, blue, and pale
They mean not to me now
For I would give up all sight of them
To have just one more day
With you here next to me

(page 18)

Case Closed

Your explanation leads me
To an inclination that
You’re trying to mislead me
The story changes ever so slightly
Trying to shed light on
Now ever so lightly
And with whom at this time of night
The story continues to change
And because I listen
It erupts into a fight
The facts just don’t add up
You’re lying to me for the last time
And this time we’re through
And all I ever asked of you
Was the simple truth
No matter what it was
And you couldn’t give me that
So I won’t trust you either ever more
For this case with us is closed

The Bible says in Psalms 119:11, "Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee". Psalms 119:105 says, "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path". No matter where you are with your walk with God, you have heard God's words either preached or you have read them for yourself. They are inked upon your heart. His promises are forever and ever. I pray that the following poems will bring back to your memory the things that God has written upon your heart, soul, and mind. I pray that as you read these poems that your faith will rise and that God will create a new heart and mind in you even now.

The Message

The effectiveness of a cause
Does not depend upon numbers
Or the size of a group
But the heart of that gathering
And how they communicate
That message to others
Whether that message
Be Holy or not
Just or unjust
One must pronounce
What one intends to be heard
For a voice inside your head
May put you to bed
But it will only be
A lullaby for you
If those words never
Reach the ears
Of those who
Need to hear you

He Cares

Do not be
Heavy hearted
For this one thing
Is absolutely true
God really cares
About you

Walk Away

How dare you say
You don’t compare to them
They’ve put this idea inside your head
You talk as if your dead
They’ve not walked in your shoes
All the explaining in the world
Will not appease their displeasure in you
Walk away, don’t take another day of that
How dare they speak to you
As if you are not you
Hold your head up high
You’re royalty in rags
And they know not whom they curse
Walk away before you blow your top
They’re not worth your steam
For you are not a pauper
As they so boldly assume
But you my friend
Are a child of the King

Too Late

You cry out for help
But there is none now
You cry out for mercy
But there is none now
You cry out for water
There is none for you
Not a drop
You cry out for light
In the darkness
And there is none where you are
You made your choice
And now you live with it
You made your choice
And now you live with it
Live with it, live with it
You cry out for God
But it’s too late now
You cry out for mercy
But it’s too late now
For you made your choice
And now you live with it
You made your choice
Now live with it
Live with it, live with it
For all eternity

Chord And Discord

So everyday is a song
And we determine the chord
Or discord it brings

Just Be

Understanding who you are
Is not as important as being
For in being
Others will know who you are
Even if you don’t
When you begin to question
In front of those people
Then you become something else to them
Being able to understand why you are here
Is one moment less
That you can practice being
You are in the place
That you are at this moment
Because you are
For if you live unquestioningly
And just let yourself  be
Who you were meant to be
Then where you are will change to match
Who you are becoming

Chasing Their Tails

Wild is the spirit of man
Looking to and fro for a master
Even he who only throws bones
But man was not meant for such
Created are they in the image of God
Created to be friends of God
Not to be fed with scraps
But to eat from God’s rich banquet table
Many still only believe
What they can see and touch
Missing out on the Creators fellowship
Sooner chasing their own tails
Than drawing closer
To the Great I Am

True Love

True love for others
Is what separates
Those that say
That they love God
From those that do

Eternity.....Poetry For The Heart

available at Create-Space (click to view)

Love is always in the heart of men and women. We search most of our lives for that special someone to be with. That someone that will complete us. The following poems talk about that special someone whom we love. But in finding that special someone there is always the past, the ones we have loved. The ones we thought loved us, and I write about them too. Because love is not only about who we are with, it is about our heart and the connections we have made throughout our lives. Love fills us, warms us, but the loss of it can break us. I pray that where you are at this moment, is that place of warmth and love.

pages from "Eternity........Poetry From The Heart"

The Kiss

Have I told you
That I love you
Have I told you
How much you mean to me
Have I held you in my arms
And you never wanted me to leave
Have I kissed you
I mean really kissed you
That long soft lingering kiss
The one that leaves us breathless
And if I have
I hope that in that moment
You knew that you were my everything
And eternity shall come and pass
But everything that I said
By that tender embrace
Will still ring true in my heart for you

The Delay

The distance of tomorrow
From here to there
From there to here
I have no clue
How to bridge the distance
But to wait
But it seems like an eternity
Waiting for you to come
And be with me again

The Message

Writing in the sand
In the middle of the desert
Waiting for the wind to come
To carry the message
Away to a friend in the sky
Writing in the sand on a beach
Praying for the tide to come in
And take my message
To the one I love
Who lives across the sea
For she wrote upon my heart
An invisible message
Which did not blow away
And the tide can not wash away
It was simply this
I will wait for you

The Lost Spirit

Can you see me now
I’m right in front of you
Can you feel me now
I’m right beside you
Reaching out my hands your way
Can you hear me now
I’m calling your name repeatedly
Crying out for your love
Needing you to reach out
Wanting to be seen
Yearning to be touched
Needing to be heard
I need you now
Please don’t pass through me again
I’m right here in front of you
Pull me back to life again

The Power Of Love

Heaven and Earth pass
Ages and eternity fade away
The blackness of space envelopes everything
But the feelings of us embracing
Brings warmth and new life
A spark ignites and a new world is made
For every loving act creates a universe
A universe of hope, peace, and love
A path with few obstacles
But a path of renewed hope
Reign of the fire of  love
Troubles are few
For each days new sunrise
Erases every yesterday and tomorrow is a dream
So dream and it will come to pass
Eternity and a day complete in this moment
Standing here holding you

The Longing

The bitter cold of a Winter day
Is warmer than her kiss
Her disdainful look chills my soul
O’ lovely lady of Summer days long ago
Visit me now in these Winter months of woe
Oh lovely lady with your golden curls
Come visit and deliver me
Oh lovely lady how I long
For your warm soft lips upon mine
How I long for your touch
How you brought sunshine to my life
Oh lovely lady oh how I miss you
This frozen wasteland cries out for you
To come back and cause the flowers of love
To bloom once again
In this heart and soul of mine

Searching For Love

Do not throw my love away
That another would receive
At least that’s what I must believe
Believe that another would cherish it
And not dash it under foot
I wonder how long it is until I find love
One is the loneliest number
But living as one is easier
Than living each day with what you have done
To my heart all of these years
Where are you love
That I may touch your smiling face
And look into your eyes
And know the look of someone
Who loves me and will never go away
Despite the ages unkindness upon my face
Who loves for loves sake
That is what I search for

Silence

My silence sealed my fate
When I finally spoke
It was too late
Would I go back
Could I go back
To tell her all my heart had to say
Even if I could
It would never bring
A brand new start
Learn from me
Learn from my silence
Learn to speak
Before it’s too late
Or you too will look back
And note this as the day
You sealed your fate with silence

Soul Mates

Eternity to know you
To feel you
To touch your lips
Not enough time
Eternity would not be
Long enough to show the depth
Of how I love thee
One night without
Your lips on mine
Is a night that I feel lost
I long for you
And our tender moments
Touching, feeling, exploring, caressing
But together or not in body
Know that our souls dance
 Under loves full moon tonight

Forever Love

Into your eyes I stare
And see an infinity
Of endless love
With a thousand possibilities
You and I together
Throughout all eternity

In This Moment

I can not promise you tomorrow
I can not promise you today
But I do promise you this moment
This second, this frame of time
It is yours
And so am I
In this moment

Hope Illustrated (volume 1)

available at Amazon.com  (click here to view)

A collection of my personal photographs mixed with my poetry and scriptures. Together the photograph takes on a new life with written word upon it. Quite a marvelous transformation to see, visually stimulating and mind and heart encouraging. Over the years people have said how they were moved by the combination of both that I had made. So due to popular demand this series of books is finally ready. My prayer is that by reading each page and seeing the combination of both word and picture will impact your life in an awesome way. I pray the Lord touches you through these books.
